This is my new favorite show. Its on Sundays on WeTv...I know, who would have thought. Anyways, this guy, Troy Dunn, is The Locator. He connect all sorts of people, from adoptive children to their birth parents, to organ donors and the recipients. Every month he takes one week and devotes it to his Angel mission. This is a special case he takes on to reunite loved ones, and uses his staff and resources to devote his time and skill solely to them. This past week, the two episodes made me cry for a good 2 hours straight. I loved how in the first episode, the Mom, brother, and sister had been looking for their son/brother for over 20 years. When they were reunited at a Family lunch, I could barely breathe...that mom LOVED her son, and his dad basically stole him and told him his mom was an evil witch and he saved him from her clutches. He never told his son his mom was alive or that he had a brother or sister.
The way the show is layed out is very simple and very heartwarming. And I like how Troy doesn't need or try and take the spotlight. He simply is a tool used in reconnecting these families. And the best part, is after the reunion portion and you think you have cried yourself dry, they put a little Where are they now? with an update of how their relationship is.
I really admire a reality show that does good and had healing involved...just like Intervention. I mean, don't get me wrong, no one loves trash TV more than me, but this is a show that deserves more recognition.
