Ok, so I went to see NOTORIOUS. I know, I know, it sounds cheesey, but IT WAS THE BEST!!!!!! I mean, it was really, really good. I loved it! I learned so many things about BIGGIE that I never knew before. And sure, it could be a biased view, but isn't EVERY movie?
I never knew how Lil Kim got her start, and I certainly never knew how he treated her like a big whore, and how she stuck around. I knew there was a love triangle, but I didn't know that Faith Evans little girl wasn't his.
All around, I thought they told the story in a great way. The music was bomb, the casting was on par and the way they filmed it was excellent. Two thumbs up.
I encourage everyone to go and see this flick. I feel bad, that this kid went through the highs and lows and died at such a young age, 24! When you view the movie, you have to remind yourself that this kid was just that...a kid. And I don't really even like Sean Combs, P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, whatever the fuck he wants to call himself, but I admired his thirst (or was it hunger) for success. Aside from the weed, which you never see Puff smoke, these kids (at the time) weren't all that bad. Yeah, there were some ho's, and when Faith kicked that white girls ass, that was CLASSIC.
I wanted to sing in that movie, and how often does that happen????? Well, RIP Biggie Smalls, and TUPAC, both too young to die...they never got to realize that telling their story via the art of rap left a big impact on all of hip hop.
